A student visa is a grant of permission to enter any foreign country. International students planning to study abroad will have to apply for a student visa after they are admitted to college or university abroad. Please remember that your acceptance in an institution does not guarantee that you will be issued a student visa.

The procedures and requirements for applying to a student visa vary from country to country, and inevitably they are more complex and demanding in some countries than others. We guide students with all the valuable and detailed information on the application procedures for your country.

Some basic requirements for grant of student visa are:
  • Prove that student is in good health. Countries such as Australia, New Zealand and Canada will ask students to undergo a medical test before they grant them with a visa
  • Prove that student has no criminal history and is a law abiding citizen. A few countries like New Zealad do ask for a police clearance certificate.
  • Students must be able to support themselves financially, prove that student has access to adequate finances required for tuition and living abroad.
  • Students academic background and levels of English
There are several things students can do to increase their chances of a favorable visa decision:
  • Start the process at least two months in advance of the course starting date.
  • Assemble all the documentation that can help make students case stronger. Submit neat photocopies notarized of all education, financial and work experience documents.
  • Avoid submitting any misleading or fraud documents
  • In some cases the visa office may interview the students and students must be well prepared to undergo this interview.

Every country has various types of visa, for example USA has F1, J1 and M1 and Australia has seven types of student visa, you can choose from depending on your circumstances, course and regulation.
